Ms. Gantt is currently employed by the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development (“NCIMED”) in charge of Special Projects, Finance & Marketing. During her tenure with NCIMED, she has taken an active leadership role in many projects.

Upon joining NCIMED, Ms. Gantt was charged with leading a statewide outreach project to increase minority business access to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contracting opportunities in North Carolina. Under her leadership, five B2B forums were held throughout the state of North Carolina over a course of 90 days, targeting 47 counties, reaching an estimated 5,000 diverse supply vendors and more than $1.2 billion in stimulus funded contracts in nine categories. As a result of this project 172 diverse supply vendors were matched to partner agencies and stimulus funded opportunities.

Ms. Gantt is currently involved in the development of a network of Plan & Resource Centers across the state, which allows minority contractors full access (at no cost) to resources previously available only to large majority firms. In addition, she is currently assisting major broadband contractors in North Carolina to develop diverse participation initiatives on a $145 million project resulting in minority contract opportunities.

Ms. Gantt has also been actively involved in the United Minority Contractors of North Carolina’s (UMCNC) supervisory committee, where she is able to leverage resources and facilitate construction opportunities for minority contractors through NCIMED’s active participation.

Ms. Gantt was recently elected to a three-year term with the UMCNC Board of Directors.

Ms. Gantt has thirty years of banking experience with a concentration in bank operations, regulatory compliance, business development, and lending. In addition to leadership experience, Ms. Gantt has a vast knowledge of the business industry and extensive management expertise to deliver effective, efficient solutions to organizational development and operational challenges.
